Today's Clare SHC quarter-final clash of Éire Óg Ennis and Inagh-Kilnamona was delayed due to a serious injury five minutes into the second-half.

Éire Óg Ennis were 2-16 to 0-11 up but a leg injury incurred by Inagh's Jason McCarthy meant that the game had to be held up for 60 minutes before the county star was removed to hospital by ambulance.

When the game eventually resumed, Éire Óg maintained the momentum as they went on to record a 2-21 to 0-16 victory with Shane O'Donnell firing 1-9 and Danny Russell netting their other goal.

In the curtain-raiser at Cusack Park, Tony Kelly notched 1-7 for holders Ballyea in a 2-21 to 0-18 win over Peter Duggan's Clooney-Quin.

Cratloe and Sixmilebridge are also through to the last four after their respective victories over Wolfe Tones, Shannon and Newmarket-on-Fergus yesterday.
