Galway and Waterford served up an absolute thriller in this afternoon's Allianz Hurling League Group A clash at Pearse Stadium...
The Tribesmen reeled off 2-4 without reply to take a 3-13 to 2-12 half-time lead into the dressing rooms, the goals coming from the influential Joe Canning and a Brian Concannon rebound. Waterford bolted out of the blocks thanks to a Jack Prendergast major after a superb catch by Shane Bennett.
Then the brilliant Bennett turned provider to finisher when blasting to the top corner to hand the Deise a six-point lead after Adrian Tuohy's strike somehow found the net at the other end!
