Roscommon GAA have said that they needed to undertake repairs on the main pitch at Dr Hyde Park after it had been used for training and exercising.

All GAA pitches are currently closed under the current Covid restrictions but the county ground in Roscommon has suffered damage regardless in recent weeks.

“In line with Covid-19 guidelines Dr Hyde Park is currently closed,” said Roscommon GAA.

“Some people however have been training and exercising on the main pitch and as a result damage has been caused to the playing surface.

“This damage has now to be repaired at a cost.”
