Dublin's Sinéad Goldrick, Lauren Magee and Niamh McEvoy helped Melbourne beat Fremantle and book a place in the AFLW finals.

The All-Ireland winning trio all featured in a 37-32 win against the hosts at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Sunday. The Demons had to withstand a strong comeback from the Dockers who left themselves too much to do after the visitors raced into a 29-6 half-time lead.

A knee injury forced Tipperary ace Aisling McCarthy out of the action during the early stages of West Coast Eagles' 42-34 defeat to Richmond at Punt Road Oval. Mayo sisters Niamh and Grace Kelly tallied 26 kicks and 23 disposals between them for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Clare's Ailish Considine is also heading to the finals next month following Adelaide Crows' crushing 78-22 win over the Western Bulldogs. Considine played no part in the round 8 clash at Norwood Oval due to concussion protocols.
