Magherafelt 1-11

Swatragh 0-10

Reigning champions Magherafelt came through the challenge of Swatragh to make it back to the semi-finals of the Derry SFC.

A Shane Heavron penalty goal was to prove crucial at Bellaghy this afternoon and saw O'Donovan Rossa take a seemingly comfortable position at half-time, 1-8 to 0-5. Swatragh had lost defender Conor McCluskey to a black card for a foul whch resulted in the 21st minute penalty.

Swatragh took the fight to the holders in the second-half to reduce the gap to two points. They desperately needed a goal but couldn't conjure up one as Magherafelt survived a comeback of sorts.

In the quarter-final at Celtic Park, Ballinderry held on for a 2-12 to 2-9 win over Ballinascreen thanks to Sean Graham's late goal.
