Dunloy Cuchullains 2-20

Loughgiel Shamrocks 2-13

The Volunteer Cup is staying put in Dunloy after the Cuchullains retained their Antrim SHC title for the first time since 2003 following today's final win over Loughgiel Shamrocks at McQuillan Park.

The game was finely poised at 1-7 to 0-10 at the half-time break with Shane McGrath slotting home the opening goal for Dunloy.

But the winners stepped on the gas in the second-half to outscore the Shamrocks by 0-10 to 0-3 and they pulled ten points clear when Keelan Molloy grabbed their second goal on 54 minutes.

A couple of late goals from Loughgiel proved to be just consolation.
