Carlow club Old Leighlin plan to “return to normal club activity” later this week after all advised members tested negative for Covid 19.

Last Friday, the club was forced to suspend all activities after one of its players had contracted the disease.

They had implemented the GAA guidelines on dealing with a positive case and the public health authorities instigated the contact tracing process.

In a statement posted on social media this morning, the club revealed: “Old Leighlin GAA are happy to confirm that following a recent positive test for Covid 19 within our club, all advised members have now been tested and thankfully are all negative.

“Having followed all HSE and GAA Return To Play guidelines, Old Leighlin GAA plan to return to normal club activity later this week.”
