Danny Sutcliffe struck a late leveller to snatch a 1-18 apiece draw for St Jude's against neighbours Faughs in Group 3 of the Dublin SHC at O'Toole Park this afternoon.

The Dublin captain was unerring from distance, scoring 0-12 to help Jude's turn an early 0-9 to 0-4 deficit into a 1-17 to 0-17 lead with four minutes of normal time remaining.

However, Jude's were caught napping at the back when Faughs full forward Chris Bennett rifled the sliotar to the net to put his side one point ahead in injury-time, but there was still time for Sutcliffe's equaliser.

There are six more games coming up in the Dublin SHC first round this evening as reigning champions Cuala take on Thomas Davis at Bray Emmets at 6.30pm while Kilmacud Crokes cross swords with Ballyboden St Enda's at Parnell Park tomorrow (throw-in 3pm).
