Drew Wylie has emerged from lockdown...

June 08, 2020

Drew Wylie and his Monaghan teammates are taking part in a shave or dye fundraiser for Cancer Services in Monaghan and The Holy Family Special School in Cootehill.

Monaghan fans may have trouble recognizing their own county players when games resume especially Drew Wylie who has emerged from lockdown with a whole new look that could soon resemble former Portuguese international Abel Xavier...

Usually seen clean shaven with a neat haircut on the pitch, Wylie now sports a tremendously overgrown mop of hair and beard which he will put to good use this week when the Monaghan senior footballers take part in a shave or dye fundraiser for two very worthy charities.

The Monaghan senior footballers are aiming to raise €30,000 for Cancer Services in Monaghan and The Holy Family Special School in Cootehill which caters for pupils with learning disabilities and autism but it's down to votes on the Monaghan GAA Twitter account to decide who shaves their hair off and who must dye.

If you would like to see Drew Wylie looking like Abel Xavier as mooted by his brother Ryan, then retweet to dye or click like to shave for his normal clean cut and don't forget to make a donation to the fundraiser here - https://www.gofundme.com/f/monaghan-gaa-shave-or-dye
