The GAA community just keeps on giving to charity...
The good people of Charlestown GAA in Mayo have been playing their part by raising over €7,000 for Heroes Aid and Pieta House through their hugely successful 5k challenge campaign.
They had originally hoped to make €1,000, however, the Sligo border club completely smashed that target in the space of 7 days.
Heroes Aid has been recently set up to help secure PPE to protect Ireland's frontline workers with the aim of providing long-term psychological support, educational and practical support for those working in healthcare.
Pieta House is Ireland's leading suicide prevention charity and offers a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm and those bereaved by suicide.
