Marty Kavanagh, who posted 0-11 in last weekend's narrow defeat to Laois, is a notable absentee from the Carlow team to face neighbours Wexford in Division 1 of the Allianz Hurling League at Chadwicks Wexford Park this afternoon.

With the Barrowsiders already resigned to a relegation playoff against Westmeath, manager Colm Bonnar has made five changes to his starting XV with Michael Malone, Sean Whelan, Jon Nolan, Edward Byrne and Chris Nolan coming in.
