Healy Park in Omagh is set to close in the Spring for 12 months

Tyrone’s home grounds at Healy Park in Omagh are set to close for a year following the conclusion of the 2020 National League.

RTE Sport reports that the stadium will closed until Spring 2021 as it undergoes major remedial works.

It means that Mickey Harte’s Tyrone side will lose home advantage in this summer’s Super 8s should the Red Hands qualify for the round robin series as they’ve done in the last two seasons.

It also means that Tyrone will not be able to play their home games in the 2021 National League at the Omagh venue, although they will have three games in it this year including their Division 1 opener against Meath next Saturday fortnight.
