Killeshin are through to their first ever Laois SFC final after overcoming Ballyfin at the second time of asking.

The Carlow border club ran out 0-17 to 1-10 winners in tonight's semi-final replay to set up a Jack Delaney Cup decider with Portlaoise who are remarkably chasing their twelvth title in thirteen years.

Despite conceding an early goal to Sean Moore, Killeshin responded well to lead by the minimum at the break, 0-9 to 1-5 with the accuracy of David Aston (0-4) and Eoin Lowry (0-3) proving vital.

Ballyfin levelled matters on the restart through James Finn before their opponents added three points in succession to take control of the contest.

Trailing by four in injury-time, Ballyfin's woes were compounded when Ricky Quillinan received a red card after Aston had doubled his tally with the last score.
