Antrim missing home comforts, says Madden

Kevin Madden has put Antrim's struggles down to the absence of a place they can call home.

The former county football star feels it's no coincidence the county's fortunes have nosedived since Casement Park was closed for redevelopment works (which has yet to take place) a few years ago.

Looking ahead to Saffrons' Ulster SFC quarter-final against either Tyrone or Derry, the Portglenone clubman told the Irish News: "We finished on six points in Division 4 this year, although we lost some games by a point, but I would expect Tyrone to beat Derry with a bit to spare and it'll be a damage limitation job then for Antrim.

"But there's a bigger problem for Antrim in that we haven't had a home game in the Ulster championship since 2011 and we are craving that stadium to get the identity of Casement Park back.
