Mattie Donnelly has been appointed Tyrone senior football captain for 2018.
The 27-year-old Trillick clubman, who replaces the recently-retired Sean Cavanagh in the role, is only the sixth captain to serve under Mickey Harte since he became manager in late 2002.
Donnelly won back-to-back All Stars in 2015 and 2016, and was also part of the Ireland International Rules squad this year. The midfielder is expected to make his debut as skipper when Tyrone open their 2018 McKenna Cup campaign against Antrim on January 3.
Meanwhile, Peter Harte has been installed as vice-captain for the coming season.
