Newtownhamilton V Corrinshego u14s 4-6 v 3-9
This top of the table clash saw the Corrinshego boys drop their first points of the season in a tightly fought draw away from home.
The boys were once again leading at half time 3-4 to 2-3 only to let another lead slip. It was refreshing to see more of the forwards get amongst the scoring this game, with Conor Mallon getting the opening goal after a sustained amount of Corrinshego pressure. Midfielder Conor Jennings scored a point from distance, before the tireless work of Ryan Connolly paid off, as he burst the back of the net with a strong right foot shot. Newtown responded with their own scores, quickly grabbing two goals back, before vice captain Adam Loughran steadied the ship with three points in a row. Ryan Connolly once again got amongst the goals at the end of the first half, extending Corrinshego's lead. However the second half saw a resurgent Newtown and they once again struck two goals, one hitting the top corner, leaving Matthew Taggart, who played well, with no chance in goals. In the end it was the point scoring of young Loughran who saved the day with 5 points in the second half. He even had the chance to win the game with a last minute penalty, but his strike hit the bar. This result still leaves the boys top of the table though, so all in all a good point away from home!

MATCH REPORT
A little piece of history was created on Sunday past when the first ever all girls team took to the field in their first ever competitive game against mullabawn. Conditions were terrible but both teams must be congratulated on an entertaining game of football. Mullabawn were deserved winners but this young corrinshego team battled hard and gave a great account of themselves. Stand out performers were Lilly Corry in goals and colleen loye at full back. Danielle mcchlorey took some nice scores and there was also a nice score from nicole mccann. Well done girl's and keep up the good work!

MATCH REPORT
Tomás Dáibhis 1-11 Cladaí 1-03
Thomas Davis under 16's had a comfortable victory over a young Clady side at St.Pauls school field last Thursday night. The writing was on the wall early on when Lee Courtney finished to the net after good approach work from Declan Loye & Caolan Marron. It was one way traffic with forwards Matthew Loughran & Jonny Tumilty hitting points from play. Clady tried hard but our defence was on top form with Dean Faloon, Breandáin McCorry & Aaron Cinnamond snuffing out any threat.
In the second period our dominance continued with some good long range scores from Keyonis Crozier & Declan Loye which sealed the contest but fair play to Clady, they battled till the end for every ball and got their just rewards with a well executed penalty and a few scores from play but on the night, Thomas Davis had the edge in most departments to take another 2 league points.
Training continues every Sunday Morning at 10.45am at the Club Grounds. New members welcome. Contact Anthony Havern 07805853032

MATCH REPORT
Madden 4-2 Oliver Plunketts 2-10
The minors 5th league of the league was to take place at home but due to a waterlogged pitch the fixture was reversed to Maddens home pitch so once again we had to travel. On a blustery night the boys playing with the wind started the quicker with the first 4 points in the first 15 minutes three coming from the boot of Sean Thompson and one from Phelim Finnegan. Madden were very dangerous on the break against the wind but the boys kept the pressure on and had them pinned in their own half for long periods of the first half .Two quick points from Jordan King had the boys six points up but a goal from Madden after attacking the full length of the pitch reduced the arrears. With five mins left to halftime a strong solo run from Conor Loye found Ryan Magill who finished the move by hitting the back of the net leaving the halftime score 1-6 1-0. Once again the boys hit seven wides in the first half so time would tell if this would come back to haunt them. Two minutes after the restart a high ball caused havoc and the ball ended up in the back off the net. Within five minutes of the second half the ball once again ended up with the green flag being raised after a penalty was awarded from a foul by the goalkeeper. The boys heads could off went down but they then started to get more of the ball and a great ball from Sean Thompson to Decky Loye who dummied the oncoming goalkeeper rattled the back of the net to give the boys belief. Jordan King tagged on another point and another lung busting run from Conor Loye resulted with another point. Madden to their credit kept battling away to the end but some terrific defending from Jamie Fields,Niall Canning, Mickey McCrory, Lee Courtney and Captain Mark McAteer kept the home side at bay. Some unselfish play from full forward Charlie Magill and Phelim Finnegan resulted in a good away win in a hard fought contest. Next game at home to table topping Granemore on Monday 20th May throw in 7.15pm. Come out and support these young lads.
Training continuing every Monday 7.30pm at the Club Grounds. New members welcome. Contact Tony Loye 07810883454.

Thomas Davis Corrinshego GFC 2-13 Pearse Og's 1-9
The long awaiting clash of Thomas Davis Corrinshego and Pearse Og's finally took place on Friday evening at the Og's venue after Corrinshego were forced to reverse the fixture due to the Craobh Rua pitch being unplayable. Members , mentors and everyone connected to Corrinshego were excited about the first every meeting at senior level between these clubs and the prospect of leading the division by night-time if we defeat our Armagh City rivals.
After all the training and preparations, this was the game that mattered! Gerry O' Reilly's young team started with many positional changes from the Dromintee game, most notably Karl Kimmins replacing David Hankin in goals, Ryan McWilliams coming into midfield to partner David Lenaghan and a forward line which saw the introduction of CathalTrainor, Phelim Finnegan , David Murphy and Liam Quinn.
From the thrown -in Corrinshego started in earnest and had a point on the board in the opening minute from the boot of Phelim Finnegan. One minute later Liam Quinn crashed the ball off the cross-bar . On 4mins Corrinshego doubled their total when Ryan O'Reilly pointed a free after Gary Gorman of Pearse Og handled the ball on the ground.
Brendan McLoughlin of Pearse Og's was causing havoc every time he got the ball and the Og's raced into a 1-5 to 0-2 lead. O' Reilly's charges didn't panic and on 18mins David Murphy hit the back on the Og's to bring Corrinshego back into the game. Great work by John McIlroy who retrieved an almost lost ball, set up Cathal Trainor for another point. On 20mins R. O'Reilly pointed another free. On 24 mins James Dinsmore was fouled while going forward and R.O'Reilly pointed the resultant free. Another pointed free from Phelim Finnegan stretched the lead. On 28mins Cathal Trainor scored a fine point after good work by P. Finnegan and Seamus Morgan. On 31mins Ryan McWilliams kicked Thomas Davis' final point of the half to leave the score 1-9 to 1-6 in favour of the Newry men.
On the resumption the Og's stepped up a gear and scored the first two point of the second half. On 35mins a converted free from Ryan O'reilly settled Corrinshego nerves. On 38mins David Lenaghan added to the Corrinshego total. On 41mins C. Trainor scored an inspirational score after the Og's had hit the back of the net again. However, on 51mins David Murphy ran at the heart of the Og's defence and shot low and hard into the net for a 2-12 to 2-9 lead. Three minutes later Ryan O' Reilly scored an insurance point from a 21m free. Overall this was a very encouraging and heart-warming display from a very spirited team.
