Weekend Results
U-12s Defeat St. Brigids,
U-11s, Junior Footballers Win Again,
U-10 Girls Play First Football Match,
U-14s Play First Hurling Match
A successful weekend for the club. The Under 9s made the long trip to Skerries, and the Under 10s were also on the road this time in Howth to take on Beann Eadair. The result of the day was probably the Under 12s victory over St. Brigids at Russell Park, sure to bring a smile to Cecil Stephens face. The Under 8s were at home to Fingallians starting off what was to be a busy Saturday in Hunters Run. It was Beann Eadair and Na Fianna who were to provide the opposition for most of the day for the underage section.
In Hunters Run the Under 11s and Under 13 girls took on Beann Eadair picking up wins. The Under 11s remain unbeaten. The Under 15 girls and Under 14 boys hurling team had Na Fianna as their opposition at Hunters Run. The Under 15 girls won their game while Under 14 boys were defeated in what was their first competitive hurling game from which a lot of positives can be taken. The days activities at Hunters Run were brought to an end by another team playing their first game, the Under 10 girls football team, taking on St. James Gaels.
Sunday was a bit quieter. The Under 13 girls were defeated by Crumlin in Camogie, the Under 15 girls received a walkover and the result of the day was the Junior Footballers one point win over Lucan Sarsfields away at the 12th Lock.

The U16 hurlers performed well in first outing but lost narrowly to Ballyboden St Endas. This was our first league game under the Alfie Byrne Gaels banner and our combined team did well in their first league game. Sean Brodie was his usual tower of strength at the back while Sean McGovern cleared from defence time and time again. Kevin Mullins was our top scorer with a return of 0-7. The U15 hurlers lost out to Thomas Davis. Dermot O'Houlihan was our best player, which is remarkable as he has been unable to train due to injured knee. The U15 girls produced another great team performance against Ballyfermot DLS. The U14, U13 and U11 boys lost their respective ties. The U10 boys ran out winners in their three football games against Skerries Harps in a series of very competitive matches. The U9 boys ran out victors in their three-team clash against Na Fianna.
