Donaghmoyne 3-13, Truagh 2-9.
Donaghmoyne clinched the minor double of division 1 championship and league for the second year on the trot and their third double in three years as they also won the division 2 double in 2013, but they were pushed all the way by a gallant Truagh team in this rip roaring encounter that built to an exhilarating finish in Clones on Sunday last. The victory sets up something of a record in that it makes for situation where Donaghmoyne have been undefeated in 43 matches in the minor grade over the last three years. Truagh though made light of the reputation of their opponents and carried the game to them throughout and with a but more luck in finishing they could have run them a lot closer as it was a goal in the final minute that pushed Donaghmoyne's winning margin to seven points. Entering the final quarter Donaghmoyne led by eight points and the outcome assured but in that last period Truagh threw caution to the winds and had Donaghmoyne back pedalling at times with their defence stretched but their greater experience saw the Fontenoys rally each time Truagh threatened and they pushed on for what was in the end a deserved victory.
