The late Jack Stanley
Munterconnaught G.F.C.
We are sad to report the death of Jack Stanley, a great servant of Munterconnaught in the seventies and early eighties.
In 1976 Jack won Junior and Senior Championship medals with Munterconnaught and Saint Mary's respectively, at midfield where he formed a very effective partnership with Mattie Hetherton.
He went on to complete his collection of medals, winning the Intermediate championship with Munterconnaught in 1980
Munterconnaught beat Ballinagh in the 1976 Junior final and Cuchullainns in the 1980 Intermediate decider while Ballyhaise were overcome in the 1976 Senior showdown.
