Senior
Intermediate Munster Final
Limerick 4-18 , Tipperary 1-05
Limerick Senior Camogie team captiured the Munster Intermediate Camogie title on Friday last over in the Ragg . Limerick went into this game on the back of a good league campaign , two wins , one draw and a narrow defeat to Wexford , saw the Limerick girls finish runner up in their group . A tough close game at home to Cork set us up nicely for our clash with tip .
Even att his early stage in the season , Phelim has been very busy with training sessions and challenge games . Preparations went well in the build up to the game , our new senior team sponsor www.wesaveumoney.ie has been actively promoting Camogie in the county and is delighted to be associated with the team . The team sported their new kit and boy did it set them alight . The girls hit the ground running and player of the game Niamh Mul had two points scored in two minutes . This set the tone for what was to come overt the next 60 minutes , Tipperary managed to stay with Limerick for about fifteen minutes put with Niamh Mul in top class form and all the forwards looking to get in on the scoring action the Girls soon put this match to bed . Two goals and ten points from the new Munster Centre forward earned Niamh all the plaudits from her sister Claire in her Captains speech .
Other scorers for the treaty girls were Kerrie Brosna , Vera Sheehan , Orla Curtin , Eileen O' Brien , Mairead Fitzgerald and not to be out done by her big sister , Judith scored a magnificent point from the half back line .
Overall a great team performance , but with some fine individual displays from Full back Sarah Collins , half back and captain Claire Mulcahy and midfielder Dee Fitzpatrick .
Well done to all involved , and a big thank yopu to Clem Smith who looked after the girls so well , I heard the cup was filled more than once . Thanks Clem

U16
All_Ireland Final
Limerick 1-06 , Derry 3-09
All roads led to Dublin on Saturday last , as the girls from the treaty city went to the capital in search of all Ireland glory . Led by the top quality management team of Mike , Ger , Willie and Seamus along with a multitude of willing volunteers the girls went into this match as warm favourites . No stone had been left unturned with these girls , four competitive championship games , numerous training sessions and challenge games had the limerick team firing on all cylinders as they took to the field at 3pm in Naomh Perigin Blakestown .
Losing the toss the girls played against a stiff breeze in the first half , Limerick's full forward Elaina Mullane opened the scoring with a well taken point . Limerick dominated for the next 10 minutes but failed to raise any flags while Derry's first point was scored by Shannon Kearney . Niamh Ryan and Kristy Carroll added two more scores before half time but with the aid of the wind Derry started to get on top and but for some great goalkeeping from young Claire Keating the four point gap at half time would have been a lot bigger .
Again Limerick started the stronger in the second half , Martina Mcmahon pointed from a 45 , leaving only one score between the sides . Even though we were playing with the aid of a strong wind that was to be our last score for 15 minutes . In this time Derry asserted themselves on the game , the Derry girls hassled and harried our girls throughout the second half and their physically stronger panel dominated in all areas. Four white flags and one green saw a nine point gap open p with only seven minutes on the clock . The boys emptied the bench , bringing on Claire Enright , Aoife Doyle , Lisa Barrett and Joane Dowling . Aoife Popped over a point straight after her introduction and goalie Claire Keating started to cause a bit of a stir when she joined the full forward line scoring 1-01 . But alas it was too little too late as the dream of an all-Ireland win for these brilliant bunch of girls faded away when player of the game Rachel Mulholland crashed another Derry ball to the Limerick net .
All over for another year , but with the continuing development of schools , U14 and U15 inter county panels , no doubt we will be back .
Well done to all involved and thanks to all our sponsors who supported these players and mentors throughout the campaign .
