We never threw in the towel - Jacob

July 07, 2008
Wexford's Michael Jacob has stressed that plenty of positives can be taken from the team's Leinster final defeat at the hands of Kilkenny on Sunday at Croke Park. The Model ace pointed out after his side's loss to the Black Cats that the team had never 'throw in the towel' and that the performance proved that Wexford are not a side that stop battling. "We conceded a couple of soft goals that normally wouldn't go in but we've plenty of positives today," said the Wexford ace. "We have been criticised in the past for not battling but I think everyone did today. I don't think anyone threw in the towel." Jacob now admits that he is looking forward to Wexford's next outing in the Championship, whom ever it may be against in less than a month's time. "We've a game in three weeks' time. We're not out of the Championship and we're hoping to give a good rattle to whoever we play the next day."
