O'Rourke tips Kerry
July 04, 2008
This week Goalpost Gaelic football columnist Colm O'Rourke is backing Kerry for Munster final success - despite the absence of Paul Galvin and Declan O'Sullivan.
"There is no shortage of Kerry footballers waiting to fill the leadership role vacated unwillingly by Galvin. For example, I think Kieran Donaghy is going to become an even more important influence in the forward line," he said.
"There are no excuses for Cork. The strike should be well behind them by now - the players have what they wanted and a manager who is well-respected. They will really have to put up a big performance but I'm sure they'll play with a lot of passion and heart," said O'Rourke.
