Kerry's Declan O'Sullivan
Kerry football supremo Pat O'Shea has expressed the hope that key attacker Declan O'Sullivan's season isn't a write-off after the player underwent an operation. O'Sullivan is presently recovering from a recent knee operation and O'Shea is keeping his fingers crossed that it won't sideline the player for most of the summer: "It was disappointing that Declan had to undergo more surgery on the knee," said O'Shea. "It was a cartilage again and he was happy with the outcome. "There is a lot of football to be played over the next few months and hopefully he will not be out for too long. It was a tough week for us and disappointing on a lot of fronts, but we have had to put it behind us. "What we are doing now is concentrating on the positives and the positives now are that we are looking forward to our meeting with Cork on Sunday week in a Munster final - we have to be ready for that. "What is most important now is that all the players are in the right frame of mind, that we prepare well, that we get ourselves ready for the fray against Cork."
