Rebel selector optimistic about defensive cover

June 27, 2008
Cork SF selector Ger O'Sullivan is confident the Rebels can cope with a defensive injury crisis in the Munster final. The Leesiders will be without Noel O'Leary, while Alan O'Connor and Dermot Duggan are both rated doubtful, but O'Sullivan feels they have the strength in depth to cope: "You'd be hoping you have enough cover at the back. We'll have to have a look at it over the next couple of weeks and see what we'll do. "There are fellas there who didn't play in the semi-final against Limerick and will be available. Kieran O'Connor didn't play in that game and he's an option. "Anthony Lynch, Eoin Sexton and Stephen O'Donoghue are all options."
