The late Dr Tim O'Mahony

GAA president Nickey Brennan has led the tributes to the late Dr Tim O'Mahony, the former Cork and Dublin dual star, whose death occurred on Saturday. Dr O'Mahony was also one of Ireland's most successful businessmen, being the founding chairman of Toyota Ireland, who are one of the current sponsors of the All-Ireland football championship and the official car of the GAA. Toyota also sponsor of the Munster rugby team, which won the Heineken Cup for a second time in three years last month. The deceased was also the driving force behind the development of the renowned Mount Juliet golf course in Co. Kilkenny. Paying tribute to Dr O'Mahony, Nickey Brennan said: "Tim O'Mahony was a man who left an indelible imprint on the sporting, business and cultural landscape of Ireland. His passing will be mourned by all who had the privilege of having known him." The GAA president also extended his sympathy to the O'Mahony family, and his vast number of friends around the country.
