Duggan blow for Rebels

June 20, 2008
Cork's preparations for next month's Munster SFC final have been dealt a further blow with the news that corner back Diarmuid Duggan has emerged as an injury doubt. Duggan, who was one of four players to make their championship bows in last Sunday's fortuitous victory over Limerick, was injured while playing for his club Ilen Rovers in a Cork SFC game against Seandun this week. This latest injury is another setback for new Cork manager Conor Counihan, who is already planning without wing back Paudie Kissane (broken forearm) for the provincial decider on July 6, while midfielder Alan O'Connor is a major doubt after suffering ligament damage in the dramatic win over the Shannonsiders.
