Donegal hurling manager Andrew Wallace
Donegal hurling has received a boost with the news that Andrew Wallace is set to remain on as manager of the county senior hurlers for another year.

Wallace guided the county to the Lory Meagher Cup final this year where they lost to Longford in the decider at Croke Park in just his first year in charge.

The Burt clubman took some time out to consider his role and has decided to continue for another year at least as he feels that they county have the players to bring them success.

"I was very disappointed after losing to Longford and I did consider giving up the job because to be honest I found it more time consuming than I expected," said Wallace.

"But after considering it over the last few months I have decided to stay on and give it one more go. I don't think I could live with myself if I was not going to give it another year at least and probably would regret it for the rest of my life."
