Tribesmen in no rush

The hunt for a new Galway hurling manager looks set to rumble on for a number of weeks yet, according to County Board secretary John Fahey.
Presently, there are eight names in the hat to take over from Ger Loughnane who was relieved of his duties last month, but the interview process has not yet begun.
The three-man committee initially tasked with the job has agreed to extend the panel by two people and they have yet to be added before interviewing the candidates can begin.
"We have decided to put a committee of five in place and, once we have the extra two in place, we expect that the various candidates will be interviewed," said Fahey.
The eight nominees for the position of Galway hurling manager are Mattie Murphy, Noel Lane, Vincent Mullins, Michael Bond, John McIntyre, Jimmy Heverin, Anthony Cunningham and Gerry Spellman.
