Kearney throws down the gauntlet
November 06, 2008
Castlerea St Kevin's manager Denis Kearney is in no doubt that his charges must play better than they have all season, if they are to progress to the Connacht club final.
The Roscommon champions face Galway kingpins and former All-Ireland club champions Corofin at home on Sunday, and Kearney knows the extent of the task that lies ahead.
"They've a great record anytime they come out of Galway. We have to get to a different level the next day. Hopefully, we're able to. If we can't, we won't be in the game," said Kearney.
"We played them in a challenge a few weeks back. They move the ball very fats and combine well. They probably didn't show that side of their game in the Galway County final but it was a tough game."
