Taylor expecting tough test
November 06, 2008
Eastern Harps star and new Sligo selector Paul Taylor is under no illusions about the task his side faces in Sunday's Connacht club football championship semi-final against neighbours Ballaghadereen.
Harps are at full strength for the clash with the Mayo champions, and star forward Taylor is expecting their toughest test yet.
"Any team that wins the Mayo championship has to be respected," he said.
"Mayo teams have a terrific record in the Connacht championship so Ballaghaderreen would have to be regarded as favourites on Sunday. It will be a very tough match for us but we're looking forward to it.
"The fact that we're playing our neighbours from just across the border adds further interest to the game and it should be a great occasion. We've put in a huge effort all year and it would be great to take the campaign one step further and see where we can go from there."
