Four dropped from Tipp panel
November 05, 2008
Tipperary senior hurling boss Liam Sheedy has axed four players from his squad for the 2009 season.
Seamus Butler, Alan Byrne, Joe Ceasar and Ryan O'Dwyer all miss out on next year's campaign, with Seamus Hennessy, Brendan Maher, Padraig Maher and Patrick Maher the four likely to make the step up from the Under 21 grade to replace them, while Michael Cahill of Thurles Sarsfields is also pushing for a place.
The Premier County are set to undergo fitness tests at University Limerick this Saturday and are to be given individual training programmes by physical trainer Cian O'Neill.
No collective training sessions are permitted by January 1 under new GAA ruling, but the players will be working on their own base levels of fitness before the New Year to prepare themselves for the 200p season.
