Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney
Séamus McEnaney is set to decide on his future as Monaghan senior football manager by this Monday night.
After the Farney County's crushing defeat to Kerry in the All-Ireland qualifiers this summer, the Corduff clubman made it clear that he would be taking time to consider his future with his native county.
Monaghan County Board chairman John Connolly has indicated that McEnaney will reveal whether or not he wishes to resume into his fifth year in term with Monaghan at a county Board meeting this Monday night, September 1.
"I've met Séamus on a number of occasions since the Championship defeat," said Connolly.
"And we expect to know his intentions on Monday - so we can make them known at the committee meeting.
"Séamus has the full backing of the Board if he is willing to continue on. There is no question about that.
"We moved as quickly as possible - there is no point waiting around allowing speculation to build."
