Gardai have said they are making enquiries into breaches of Covid-19 regulations at a ‘sports ground in the north of the country.’

Today’s Irish Independent reports that they have been supplied with photographs and video which allegedly shows Monaghan county footballers in collective training at the end of March.

It is also reported that the photographs and video were also sent to the Department of Justice which forwarded them onto the GAA and the Gardai.

The news comes just seven days after the Dublin footballers were pictured training in breach of Covid-19 regulations.

Dublin County Board suspended senior football manager Dessie Farrell for 12-weeks as a result of the infringement.
