September 30, 2013

Clare players celebrate with hat-trick goalscorer Shane O'Donnell. INPHO
It's no surprise after Clare's All-Ireland win that the top scoring hurler of championship 2013 is from the Banner, as is the top scorer from play as well as the leading goalscorer.

Colin Ryan ran away with the top scorers title thanks to 0-70 over the course of eight games, well clear of Cork's Pat Horgan who bagged 1-49 in six matches.

Shane O'Donnell's 3-3 in the All-Ireland final replay sees him as the top scorer from play with 6-5 over six games.

O'Donnell also leads the way as the top goal scorer with those six majors, with three players on three goals - Carlow's Craig Doyle, Clare's Conor McGrath and Dublin's Paul Ryan.

The highest individual scoring feat in the championship is shared by Maurice Shanahan (0-13 against Offaly) and Paul Ryan (2-7 v Galway).

The highest average score per game is held by Galway's Joe Canning with 9.33 points per game.
