Two of Wexford hurling's superpowers are just 60 minutes away from losing their senior status.

13-time senior kingpins Oulart-The Ballagh and St Martin's, who were county champions just two years ago, will face off in a relegation playoff to see who will make the drop to the intermediate ranks in 2022. Adding spice to the do-or-die clash is the involvement of former Wexford managers Liam Dunne and John Meyler with Oulart and St Martin's respectively. With two teams going down, Fethard will also only get one shot at survival as they await the losers of the Crossabeg-Ballymurn v Cloughbawn preliminary playoff.

The four Wexford SHC quarter-finals are down for decision this weekend with the standout tie being the meeting of Naomh Eanna and Shelmaliers in what is a repeat of last year's final.
