Clonkill Hurling Club extends its deepest sympathy to the following families on their recent bereavements:

The Kellaghan Family Delvin and Cloughan on the death of Olive Kellaghan  may she rest in peace.

The Feery Family, Tyrrellspass on the death of Caroline may she rest in peace.

The Shaw Family Cullion the death of Kathleen Shaw may she rest in peace

The Holding & Murray Family the Downs on the death of Harry Senior may he rest in peace

Club Membership

Anyone wishing to renew their membership i.e.  Social member or regular member or player can now use the online service with Clubforce.

For anyone that is not in a position to use the online service.

Please contact any member of the committee who will facilitate the collection of membership in a safe and socially distance manner.

Kevin Muldoon and Declan Leonard will be at the Club House on each evening of training to assist or answer any questions regarding registration.

Congratulations to Mark Keegan and his partners Orla Austin on the birth of their daughter Holly.

Ben Murray Remembrance Tournament

The Ben Murray Remembrance Tournament was held on the 7th of June last

Thank you to all the players mentors and two referees for giving out their time to and to all who helped out and brought along refreshments. Thank you to the Murray Family for presenting the cup and medals.  Ben will always be remembered by our club.

 

Clothes Collection

Our Clothes Collection will be closing the 26th of June next.

Please drop up off any bags of Clothes to Club House before this date thank you in advance for your support

 

Campa Gael

Campa Gael is a camp being held in Clonkill 28th of June and 2nd of July and in St Lomans between the 5th of July and the 9th of July in St Lomans GAA Ground.

This is a camp set up to help promote the  Irish Language and the values of a true Irish Gael.

Local lady Muireann Scally together with Ryan Jones are the organiser of this event and have planned a very entertaining camp:

CES Vacancy

A CES Vacancy will be available in Clonkill in June.

Any person who wishes to apply must be registered with Department of Social Protection and be unemployed for at least a year to be eligible.

Club Clean Up – Day

The Club held a Clean Up Morning on Saturday 30th of May.

Thank you to all that attended to help keep the fabulous grounds which we have in pristine condition.

Special word of mention must go to the younger helpers, Holly Dowdall who cleaned the gym and left it spotless, Jake Muldoon, who spent the morning strimming, collecting, gathering etc under the supervision of adults at all times and in the presence of his parents and also to Katie Muldoon, who was on hand to also help out with what ever job was assigned to her.

Thank you also to familiar helpers that also helped out and are there no matter what the job is.  You know who you are.

Clonkill -v- Crookedwood Div 3 A Game held in Clonkill on the 17th of June

Clonkill -v- Fr Daltons Div 2 A Game held in Clonkill on the 19th of June

Kit Bartley – Retirement

We would like to wish Kit Bartley all the best on his retirement from the CES Scheme in Clonkill.

Kit has filled this position for the last 10 years and has been a tremendous asset to the club.

A willingness to help always and smile for anyone that passed him while he worked his day.

Kit was always available no matter what was asked of him.

Clonkill Hurling Club would like to express their Thanks to him for his hard work and dedication to the club and grounds for the past 10 years.
