Club Football 2021

The planning report for this years competitions has recently been issued to clubs. For the Junior Football Championship, we have been drawn in Section A along with the following teams: Bunbrosna, The Downs, Athlone, St Lomans Mullingar and Garrycastle. The top two teams in this group will proceed to the semi-finals while teams in 3rd and 4th place will play in the quarter finals against the top two sides from Section B. The Planning Committee proposes an U19 competition to run concurrent with the Senior A, Intermediate & Junior competitions. There is also the possibility of a mini league at adult and U19 levels (Covid dependent) starting in April provided the country is at Level 2 restrictions. So while these are dark times for all, hopefully the months ahead will see our sports return and give us all something to look forward to.

Pitch Development

All work is currently on hold due to the current restrictions in place. However a lot of work was carried out over the weeks leading up to the current lockdown and once we are allowed to continue our development, this preparation work will allow progress begin at pace again and ensure that our new training pitch and lights around out main pitch are completed as soon as possible. Unfortunately our walking track remains closed at this time as the entire site is closed for construction.
