Westmeath star John Heslin says he's delighted with the news that Louth GAA have been given approval for a new stadium in Dundalk.
News broke yesterday evening of the approved planning permission to build a new 14,000 capacity stadium on a 14-acre site on the Inner Relief Road.
The project is estimated to cost around €12million.
Heslin tweeted his own approval of the news this morning, having lined-out against the Wee County on a couple of occasions at Drogheda's Gaelic Grounds – a venue which he evidently has mixed feelings on.
TweetAnyone who has played in Drogheda in Jan/Feb is delighted with this news and for @louthgaa

The only good thing about the pitch in Drogheda is that it slowed Paddy Keenan down a bit so I could catch him 😉 #GAA https://t.co/503G3NPcMJ
