13-man Coalisland staged a remarkable comeback at Plunkett Park today to earn themselves a dramatic 3-6 to 0-14 victory over Errigal Ciaran and a place in the Tyrone SFC final against Dromore.
The Fianna men trailed for most of the game and looked a beaten docket when Errigal Ciaran went 0-11 to 0-5 ahead with ten minutes remaining. By this stage, Coalisland were without Tyrone All-Ireland winner Michael McKernan, who received a red card, while they also had Peter Herron sent off later on.
However, the side captained by Padraig Hampsey weren't done yet as a three-goal salvo between the 52nd and 57th minutes from Jason Carberry, Tiarnan Quinn and Brian Toner dragged them to the front. Goalkeeper Darragh McAnenley briefly levelled matters before free-taker Cormac O'Hagan scoring what proved to be the winning point.
