Dromore are into their first Tyrone senior football championship final in nine years after edging Trillick in tonight’s epic semi-final for a 0-17 to 2-9 win at Healy Park.

The winners looked to be coasting in the early stages in Omagh, as they ran up a 0-7 to 0-0 lead after 14 minutes only for Trillick net goals via Simon Garrity and Lee Brennan which saw them lead 2-4 to 0-9 four minutes before half-time.

James Garrity’s point left two in it at the break and, after the turnaround, scores from Michael Gallagher and Brennan served to increase Trillick’s lead.

Sean McNabb and Emmett McNabb grabbed sorely needed scores for Dromore and they’d kick on after the second water break with Peter Teague (2), Emmett McNabb and Odhran Rafferty all firing over points which got them over the line.

Dromore now await the winners of tomorrow’s clash between Errigal Ciaran and Coalisland Na Fianna in the final, with latter two set to clash in Pomeroy at 2.45pm.
