The Kildare minor and U20 hurling training squads are undertaking an 840km run on Saturday with funds raised shared between Barretstown Children’s Charity and their team training fund.

The two squads and their management teams are taking part in a 12 hour run, which is the equivalent of running from Mizen Head to Malin Head and then back to St Conleth's Park Newbridge.

The event will involve the current training squads of just over 100 players and management each running an 8km leg at 10 minute intervals from 8am to 8pm.

Over €14,400 has been raised so far of a target of €17,500. Contributions can be made here - https://www.gofundme.com/f/mizen-to-malin-to-newbridge-minor-u20-hurlers
