Westmeath will be without the versatile Kieran Martin for this afternoon's Allianz FL Division 2 relegation play-off clash with Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The Maryland clubman suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury during the narrow defeat to Down, representing a huge loss to the Lake County.

Jack Cooney's side's preparations for the crucial trip south took a further blow this week with the news that Luke Loughlin has withdrawn his services.
