Declan Carr has been named as the new Tipperary ladies senior football manager.
Tipperary LGFA confirmed the news this evening that the former Tipperary All-Ireland winning hurling captain will replace Shane Ronayne who stepped down last month after four years in charge and has since taken over the Waterford men's football team.
Ex-Carlow senior hurling boss Colm Bonnar will be part of Carr's backroom team as a consultant to his former Tipperary teammate.
Also part of the backroom set-up are Paul Creed (coach), Sarah Jane Darmody and Clare Lambert (selectors) and Paddy Lowry (strength and conditioning).
