Sligo have appointed Declan Loughnane as their new senior hurling manager for the 2012 season.

The Offaly native, who lives in Riverstown and hurls with the Tubbercurry club, played with the Yeats County in recent years and will now make the step up to management.

Mark Burke and Robert Molloy as selectors have been appointed as his selectors, with Under 21/Minor manager Jerome Quinn also set to be involved in his backroom team. Tweet
