Drumcliffe Rossa club notes

August 03, 2021

Congratulations to our girls under-14 footballers who lifted the Division 2 league shield title on Saturday evening in Scarden followiing a 4-19 to 17 win against St Farnan's/St Pat's.

It was a special weekend too for three of our county under-16 footballers. Team captain Ruth Flanagan, Izzy Henry and Rianne Smith were part of the Sligo team which won the Connacht U16 'B' championship title following Friday evening's win against Roscommon.

Well done to James Donlon, Ross Chambers and the Sligo minor gaelic footballers who beat Leitrim at Markievicz Park last Friday evening to qualify for the Connacht minor final. Both men played influential roles in the win. We wish Ross a speedy recovery from the injury he picked up towards the end of the game. The minor final takes place this Friday evening at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon at 7pm.

Our senior men's footballers have secured their divisional status for next season after being given a walkover against Castleconnor in their Division 2 play-off at the weekend.

Our junior men's footballers are away to Curry in the league this Friday evening at 8pm.

The Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp takes place at Oxfield from Monday Aug 9th to Friday Aug 13th. The camp is already a sell-out. Parents/guardians of registered players should be a receiving an email from the GAA with camp info this week.
