With the help of goals from Charlie Sheridan, Kevin Aherne, James Burke and Jack Sheridan, Naas powered their way to a maiden Leinster club senior hurling championship victory at Shinrone's expense in Newbridge this afternoon.

Jack Sheridan starred for the reigning All-Ireland intermediate champions in an impressive 4-21 to 0-18 win over the Offaly kingpins, with the Kildare marksman landing 1-11 over the hour.

Shinrone, who captured an historic first Offaly SHC title six weeks ago, found themselves trailing by 2-7 to 0-8 after playing with the aid of the strong breeze as Charlie Sheridan's opening goal on nine minutes set the tone for what was to follow.

They improved their intent during the third quarter to reduce the gap to three points, but any hopes of a comeback were effectively quashed in the 44th minute when dual-star Burke buried to the net before Jack Sheridan applied the coup de grace with the fourth Naas goal entering the closing stages.
