An amazing figure of €17,800 has been raised so far by Nobber footballer Dale Larkin and his sister Lucie.

The duo undertook to run 5km every 3 hours for 48 hours starting on the 14th of January. The runs took the duo to Navan, Nobber and Bective and their marathon run finished up in Nobber on Sunday.

Dale and Lucie organised the fundraiser in memory of their mother Maura who passed away after been diagnosed with cancer in December 2006.

All donations received will be split between two charities, The Friends of St. Luke's Hospital in Dublin and SOSAD.
