It may be just the beginning of January but already there is a feast of GAA for Meath supporters to look forward to in the coming week.
The senior footballers will be hoping to get their season up and running on Wednesday night with an away O'Byrne Cup fixture against Laois. Three days later Andy McEntee's men will have their first home game of the year when they entertain Wexford at Pairc Tailteann.
The Meath senior hurlers take on neighbours Westmeath at Trim in the opening round of the Kehoe Cup.
On the club front Trim will be hoping for their first ever provincial title when Offaly's Clara visit Pairc Tailteann for the Leinster IFC final on Sunday.
Leinster champions Dunboyne face a long journey to take on Munster champions Mounreabbey of Cork in the All Ireland Ladies Club SF semi final. The winners will play Donaghmoyne (Monaghan) or Galways Kilkerrin Clonberne in the final.
