Former Dunshaughlin and Meath star Richie Kealy

Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels are pleased to announce Richie Kealy as the new Adult Men’s first team manager.

The Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels executive committee this evening unanimously ratified Richie and his management team.

Richie Kealy is perhaps the most decorated player in the club’s history. As a player he was instrumental in getting Dunshaughlin promoted to senior level in 1997, and he went on to win three senior county titles in a row.

Richie Kealy made a total of 112 Adult first team Championship appearances for Dunshaughlin (88 Senior Championship and 24 Intermediate Championship appearances) and he also holds the record for being the third highest championship scorer for Dunshaughlin, in the period from 1998 to 2011 he scored 8-118 in the Senior Championship and 3-27 in Intermediate Championship totalling 11-145 (178).

He represented Meath at Minor, U21, Junior and Senior levels, winning multiple Leinster championships at various levels and winning an All-Ireland with Meath seniors in 1999. In his professional career Richie has extensive managerial experience.

We congratulate Richie and all the members of our new men’s management team appointed to date and wish them a very successful 2022.
