With the Christmas break over Meath supporters can now turn their attention to the cup competitions with six games, and hopefully more, to look forward to over the month of January.
Next Saturday Andy McEntee will bring his squad to Bray for the opening round of the O’Byrne Cup. The Royals will play three games in a week with the hope of progressing to the knockout stages in a competition they last won in 2018.
Westmeath will provide the opposition for Nick Weir’s charges in the opening round of the Kehoe Cup. Meath last tasted success in this competition in 2015 with a 0-17 to 0-7 win over Wicklow.
